Reorganize information and improve communication.
UX/UI Design Lead for Anthology Marketing Group
Hawaiian Airlines had undergone a website redesign in 2016 to update and modernize its online presence. The redesign of the consumer-facing airline website was considered an opportune time to update and redesign the online presence for one of its subsidiary companies, Hawaiian Airlines Cargo. The project entailed a thorough content inventory of the existing site and extensive interviews and research into the daily operations to understand their internal workflow. A deep understanding of pain points and expectations was needed to optimize their shipping application process workflow to effectively serve several major types of customers they receive.
An overall redesign of their information architecture was needed to accommodate for additional features such as a shipping calculator, logistics information, application forms, and more. The wireframe process had to be combined with visual design as high-fidelity deliverables to stay within budget to serve as detailed documentation for an outside development team. This resulted in numerous static layouts provided for each unique page and content type as well as for each interactive stage within the forms process.
Visual design was done in accordance to their established branding guidelines.
